赵天力，教授，主任医师，外科学博士、医学生物学博士后、加拿大多伦多大学附属儿童医院（SickKids）访问学者。现任湖南省心血管病研究所副所长，中南大学湘雅二医院小儿心血管外科副主任，国家心血管病专业质控中心专家，国家微创心血管外科专业委员会委员，美国胸外科医生协会（STS）国际会员，欧洲心胸外科协会（EACTS）会员，亚洲心脏瓣膜病学会中国分会委员，湖南省医学会胸心外科学专业委员会常委，Frontiers in Pediatrics专刊主编。《中国心血管病研究》杂志编委。

长期从事心血管病临床与基础研究工作，擅长先心病、瓣膜病和心衰外科手术和介入治疗，完成心血管外科及介入手术近8000例。专注心血管微创技术研究及临床应用，致力于心血管病诊疗技术创新、科研成果转化。原创和改良10余项医疗新技术，显著提升了复杂及危重心血管病外科手术成功率。创建了结构性心脏病复合技术团队，常规开展外科手术、DSA介入治疗和超声介入治疗，为患者提供最优化的诊疗技术服务。领导团队在结构性心脏病微创治疗开展了开拓性工作，并取得了系列标志性成果。以第一作者或通讯作者发表科研论文50余篇，其中被包括Annals Thoracic Surgery、Journal of thoracic and cardiovascular surgery、Eur J Cardiothorac Surg和EuroIntervention等权威SCI期刊收录 30余篇；参与多部指南共识的制定；参编著作一部。主持及参与国家、省厅级课题11项；获授权专利8项。手术技术创新分获中华医学会科技奖一等奖和湖南省医学科技成果一等奖各一项、湖南省科技进步二等奖两项；并入选2016年“湖南省十大科技新闻”。
